- How long does it take to build a garden room?
- The build time frame for a garden room can vary depending on factors such as site access/layout, the type of base required, and the size of the build. If we consider an average garden room size of 15 to 25 square metres, the construction process typically takes 7 to 10 working days.
- What about electrical work in the garden room?
- All electrical work is carried out by our qualified electrician, and a RECI certification is provided upon completion. We typically use a 6-square-armoured cable that runs from the newly installed garden room fuse board to the main house board. We can accommodate up to 5 double sockets, a few spotlights, outside lights, and install a 1 or 2-kilowatt heater with a timer.
- Can a toilet be added to the garden room?
- In most cases, it is possible to add a toilet and wash basin to the garden room. However, this will incur additional time and cost, depending on the ease of access to waste services and the mains water supply. A site survey would be necessary to provide accurate costings for this additional feature.
- What about insulation for the garden room?
- We highly recommend using our higher-grade insulation as it helps maintain comfortable temperatures during winter and reduces energy consumption. However, we understand budget constraints and offer a more basic insulation option, which is generally standard among competitors who do not provide higher-grade insulation.
- Can you accommodate bespoke layouts and sizes?
- Absolutely! We can tailor room sizes to fit any dimensions within the planning exemptions. Additionally, we can divide the space into separate rooms or even create a separate entrance for a storage room to house garden tools, bikes, and more. We can also incorporate media walls for TV or cinema rooms. Feel free to share your ideas, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
- Do you offer maintenance-free products?
- Yes, we offer maintenance-free options for your garden room. One such option is a fiber cement board with a woodgrain effect, available in various colors of your choice. These products require no maintenance, providing you with a hassle-free solution.
- What are the payment terms?
- To confirm a start date, we require a 15% booking deposit. On the start day of the project, an additional 50% of the total cost is due, with the remaining 35% payable upon completion of the garden room.
